Just over a week ago I was on my way to London to attend the WalktheWalk Moonwalk 2018. I mentioned this (in what seems to be a lifetime ago) here. Looking back over my bit of blog, I was talking about the 4 miles training and how I was dreading the 22 mile walk before the event. We didn’t actually get to 22 miles (in training that is). The furthest we managed was 17 miles in the end. Did it matter? was it awful? Well, I’ll let you watch this video for you to see for yourself.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who kindly supported me and made a donation.
This particular challenge started off as simply supporting my friend Nikki in achieving a life ambition but it has become much more for me. There is no denying my enthusiasm for the training was somewhat slim in the beginning. However, now realising this is something I CAN achieve it has opened my eyes to believing we really can do whatever we set our minds to.
Rachel, once again, has fully demonstrated that we can all achieve anything we want if we put our mind to it. Completing the Moonwalk is a magnificent achievement. Who knows what else it might lead to?!
